Makapu‘U Point

Located on the eastern tip of Oahu, Makapuʻu Point features dramatic sea cliffs, panoramic ocean vistas, and sweeping views along the Kaiwi Channel. Visitors can walk up a paved coastal path to scenic lookout points overlooking the historic 1909 Makapuʻu Lighthouse and offshore seabird sanctuaries. During winter months, the elevated vantage point also serves as a premier spot for humpback whale watching.
