Weighing over 60 pounds, this massive natural gold nugget sits in a secure glass display case near the main lobby for visitors to admire up close. • The Hand of Faith was discovered in 1980 by a man named Kevin Hillier, using a metal detector in Victoria, Australia. The Golden Nugget purchased the nugget for over $1 million in 1981. The Hand of Faith is displayed in a glass case, accompanied by information about its discovery and history. Visitors are allowed to take photos with the nugget (without flash).
