History
Originally founded in 1971 as the Pasadena Art Museum, it became the Pacific Asia Museum in 1971. In 2013, it formed a partnership with the University of Southern California, becoming the USC Pacific Asia Museum. The museum is housed in a historic building that is an exquisite example of Chinese-style architecture, which itself is a part of the museum's allure.
