Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area

Located along the central Oregon Coast near Reedsport and Florence—roughly 200 miles south of Portland—the Oregon Dunes National Recreation Area encompasses 40 miles of wind-sculpted sand dunes, coastal forests, and ocean beaches. Visitors can explore these massive dunes through hiking, off-road vehicle riding, sandboarding, and camping. Please note that this national recreation area is located on the Pacific coastline rather than inside the city of Portland.
