The San Francisco Museum of Modern Art (SFMOMA) is one of the largest museums of modern and contemporary art in the United States and a thriving cultural center for the Bay Area. They have a remarkable collection of paintings, sculptures, photography, architecture, design, and media arts on seven gallery floors. SFMOMA also offers 45,000 square feet of free, art-filled public space open to all.
There is the largest living wall in the United States, with over 19000 plants on the 3rd floor. It’s a beautiful backdrop for the sculptures nearby or a moment of reflection.
- Experience Diego Rivera's America on the 4th floor (a must!) and Mural commissions by Bay Area artists on the 2nd,3rd, and 5th floors.
- Second Sunday of the month, there is a Families Event at the museum featuring art-making and storytelling around a different theme each month.

- Parking is available at the SFMOMA Parking Garage, located at 147 Minna Street. Visitors receive a 10% discount, and parking tickets can be self-validated at the Ticketing Desk.

- Guests 18 and younger always get in for free at SFMOMA.
- All residents of the nine Bay Area counties get free admission on the first Thursday of every month,
- A Group of 10 or more receives discounted ticket prices.
- San Francisco residents with EBT or Medi-Cal cards receive free admission.
- General admission is free to all active-duty military personnel including National Guard and Reserve and their families from Memorial Day through Labor Day.
