The Doghouse

The Doghouse was previously a free, self-service pet kennel area located at Mount Rushmore National Memorial for visitors traveling with dogs. The facility has permanently closed and no longer exists on the monument grounds. Pets are currently not permitted beyond the entrance pillars, though a designated pet walking trail is available nearby.
